The girls and I spent the day at a local farm called Belluz. Every fall, on the weekends, they open their doors up to families to come join them for some harvest activities.

Weekend in Winnipeg
PE had to go to Winnipeg for work so we made it into a fun family mini-vacation.
Day 1 of our adventure was driving there. This was pee break #1
The scenery was beautiful - it was the perfect time of year for seeing all the leaves changing colors. We stopped for lunch at a cute little park
Settling in to our hotel in Winnipeg - Zurburt time!
Day 2 adventure included a trip to the Winnipeg zoo
There were people from all over North America there taking pictures of the 2 brand new tiger cubs that has just been born in captivity. Apparently a very rare occurrence and this weekend was the 1st time they had allowed the public to see the cubs. This was papa tiger, who was in a separate cage than the cubs for their safety.
Our Day 2 adventure continued at a near by park
Our Day 3 adventure started at a kids museum
Followed by a trip to a botanical garden
Day 4 of our adventure was a laid back (11 hour) drive home to Thunder Bay
Just Keep Running, Just Keep Running
2011 Miles With the Giant Marathon. Nancy, myself and the girls waiting to cheer PE when he runs by us. (PE competed in the 1/2 marathon which is 21 kilometers)
Go Daddy Go - Go Daddy Go - Go Daddy Go
PE crossing the finish line - what an amazing accomplishment!!!
I NEED FOOD!!!!
When the result times were posted PE ended up beating my (2010) time by a 29 seconds - I think I am going to have to demand a tie breaker at some point.
Fall Frolic
Every year a locally owned greenhouse put on a harvest themed kids event. So out we all went to Vanderwees to have some fun!
This is our friend Lee who was out there helping out
And, of course, you cannot have a fall frolic without a hay ride. Our great friends the Lindeman's and Setala's were out there too. So we all jumped on the wagon together
Drum Role Please
MacKenzie loves making "music". She is putting on a show for her little equestrian girl who is sitting right in between the pots (the view/sound is very good from there)

Harvest Time
This is the sun flower that MacKenzie planted in April at Little Seedlings Playschool. We transferred it into our garden in the summer. It ended up having over 40 sunflowers on it.
